I grew up playing video games and exercising minimally. From there, I ended up wrestling in 5th grade and stuck with the sport through the end of high school (I also recently did a tournament as an adult which may or may not have been a bad idea). I found CrossFit in 2008 while rehabbing from a back injury and never looked back. I spent a career competing, ultimately making it to the CrossFit Games in 2016. I have a degree in Chemistry and a love for film, and now you can find me working out while complaining about <insert joint here> pain.
Meet Coach justin
When did you start coaching?
Why Invictus Boston?
I first started coaching formally in 2010, but had worked with individual clients prior to that.
I love the people and the community. I also love that we professionalize coaching and create careers instead of jobs. When I first met our owner, Josh, I was drawn to his business acumen as well as his genuine love for helping people. At the end of the day, I have always been intrigued by human performance and enjoy helping people become the best versions of themselves.
King Kong -- it's short and heavy! I also enjoy the combination of squatting and pull-ups!
