Hey One Nation!
Many of us have spent the past few weeks doing our best to maintain a healthy lifestyle. In addition to fitness classes, many of you have been experimenting and sharing nutritious new recipes. That inspired me to look into sourcing some high quality produce for our Community and support a local small business.
I connected with Johnny's Produce, a family run company, and one of the most well respected distributors in Boston. For the past 30 years they have supplied fresh produce to restaurants. Recently they pivoted to provide the "Johnny Box" of high quality produce to families during the quarantine.
The "Johnny Box" is a grassroots idea in it’s truest form, springing out of a desire to serve their friends and neighbors by offering access to awesome fresh produce. Their team picks the items daily based on what's freshest. Boxes will vary weekly, but typically include: Lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, onion, potatoes, 2-3 side veggies like asparagus and broccoli, lemons and limes, oranges, apples, grapes, berries, avocados and other fresh selections! It's a BIG box of goodness!
So here's the good news, Johnny's Produce has partnered with our One Nation community to offer you an awesome box of produce: Here are the details: Price: $50 per box ($75 retail value!) Venmo Payment to: crossfit1nation If you would like to order, it must be placed by Wednesday (April 8th) at 12pm with Venmo payment. Email: email@example.com to place order
Pick up: Saturday (April 11th) between 11am-12pm in Needham at the gym. I will put the box in your trunk so you do not need to get out of your car.
We need a minimum of 20 Boxes to place the order. And we are limited to 50 Boxes, so it's "First Come First Served" based on when your order and payment are received.
If this goes well, we will all have amazing produce without having to leave the safety of our homes. Perhaps we can have a virtual cooking class/dinner party using some of the ingredients in the box if we have enough interest. #supportyourlocalbox #community #smallbusiness #eathealthy
